Three generations. One shared mission. A voice for the voiceless.

Chickadees Media was founded by Fran Weaver, Blanca Turrubiate-Simpson, and Cassidy Pierce - three women from three generations, connected by resilience, shared struggles, and a deep desire to uplift other women.

Our name, Chickadees, holds special meaning. It was the loving nickname Maggie Murdaugh used for Blanca - a symbol of warmth, loyalty, and the deep bond they shared. In honoring that name, we honor Maggie’s memory, her kindness, and the voice that was overshadowed and lost in the noise. Chickadees became the perfect representation of who we are and what we stand for: protecting the truth, preserving women’s stories, and carrying their voices forward with care.

What began as the effort to tell Maggie’s story through Blanca’s perspective quickly grew into something far greater - a purpose-driven media company dedicated to giving voice to stories that are too often erased, distorted, or buried. Chickadees Media exists to restore those voices and to stand with every woman who has ever felt silenced.

Beyond publishing Within the House of Murdaugh: Amid a Unique Friendship- Blanca & Maggie, our mission is to bring awareness to domestic violence, coercive control, post-separation abuse, and the quiet strength it takes to survive them. We use our grit, experience, and creativity to speak for those who feel unheard and to build platforms where their truths can finally be shared.

As Executive Creative Director, Cassidy Pierce leads the creative direction and identity of Chickadees Media. With a background in social media, marketing, e-commerce, fine art, and branding, Cassidy ensures that every project blends powerful storytelling with meaningful impact.

Looking ahead, Chickadees Media is committed to expanding into philanthropic efforts, creating tangible support for survivors, women in crisis, and families navigating systems that too often fail them. Our goal is to transform awareness into action - and action into real change.

Together, Fran, Blanca, and Cassidy represent the strength of three generations turning pain into purpose, and purpose into lasting impact.
